Just got off a therapy session that called me out for avoiding things because of my pressure to be perfect

*so here I am* !!!!!!

This weekend I finished reading this book worthy by @jamiekernlima. While parts of it felt a tad repetitive, I found myself reaching for this book whenever I needed a nice boost and it delivered ✨

It calls out so many things that stand in the way of us feeling worthy and living in our truth -- big concepts I feel very strongly about.

Most of all what stood out to me as I came to the end of it was that we can't outsource our perception of ourselves to other people (whether it's external voices inside our own heads or actual opinions from other people)

WE have to have steadfast conviction in our own worthiness and we can't be the ones to say no to ourselves.

So I'm here reminding you that you’re bigger than the voices tearing you down. You've got a meaning for your life. You are here for a reason. You deserve to live a life that feels good to you. You have an abundance of potential AND you're already completely worthy and good enough right now πŸ’— in case you needed the reminder πŸ’—

p.s. enjoy these photos of me reading the book during a staycation with my mama

Let's get our spark back together! βœ¨πŸ’–πŸŽ‡

I know so many of us have been feeling weighed down, heavy, burdened by the everyday stresses of life to the point where we don't recognize ourselves anymore.

I know because I was there 😩

We don't have to trudge through life on autopilot just making it day to day, we can reconnect to that vibrant joyful self again!

And if you need some assistance with that, I've got some wonderful tools to share with you πŸ’—

As a life and mindset coach, I deeply believe in the power of our thoughts and beliefs to shape our life experience.

During our time together, I'll share why we fall into a negative thought cycle, steps to make our way out of it, and simple practices to cultivate more consistent good feelings (even with all the chaos of your life and the world)

we focus on controlling what we can control and you'll be amazed by what ripple effects come from there! 🌞

Join me on Monday May 11th at 7pm ET for this free yet invaluable experience! (Sign up at the link in bio)

get unstuck, reconnect with your true self, and hear from others also paving their way forward to a more aligned, vibrant life πŸ’“

Can't wait to see you there!! πŸ₯°

Quick question: how quick are you to be hard on yourself?

If you're like me, perfectionistic, ambitious, empathetic and wants to be liked by everyone, I'm going to guess it doesn't take a lot for you to feel guilty, turn on yourself and berate yourself into being better and doing better - in 99% of situations.

Recently though I've had an epiphany that maybe siding with the opposition isn't doing me any favors. Maybe having my own back is the lesson the universe has been wanting me to learn all these years...

Showing myself some πŸ’•compassion πŸ’•

When you feel like the world is throwing you test after test and you're being backed into a corner, I encourage you to show yourself even MORE kindness than usual.

Think to yourself, how can I take care of myself today?

I tried it and it was revolutionary

I go deeper into this in this episode! If you give it a listen, I'd love to know what resonates and if you have any particular self-compassion practices to share 😌

what to write about ⬇️

❀️ where you are in life, how you feel, what's been happening, what you hope for the future (an exercise in self-intimacy)
πŸ’— how you envision 2026 unfolding in past tense (a manifestation exercise)
🧑 your current vision for yourself in 3,5, or 10 years (see how much of your goals change in a year)
πŸ’› a hype up encouragement letter tailored to you (a balm for seasonal sadness)

I opted for option 1 ❀️ and surprised myself with 2 pages front and back!! I really enjoyed writing this by hand with a snowscape on the tv and a candle lit.

Make this exercise your own and let me know which option you choose!

"We're making the rules and we can change the rules"

This one is an up close and personal look at how perfectionism shows up for me and how internal family systems work can be extremely helpful for healing the stories that feed into the need to be and do things perfectly.

Stories that say you can't make a mistake or, if you're like me, "it'll be my fault."

Atim cautions me against looking for a simple 5 step plan to heal perfectionism and encourages a practice to process deep seated emotions that we're scared to feel. We also talk about societal and cultural pressure to be perfect. It's a juicy one!!

Tune in to get tips on dealing with perfectionism and to hear a personal and healing conversation about my own neuroses that stem from the urge to control and manage things a particular way πŸ™ƒ
