In this episode of Ease and Grow, I chat with social media expert, Portia Obeng, and she shares tips for keeping our sanity while on the apps and shares insight into how we can level up our LinkedIn.

Portia is a Ghanaian-American social media strategist with nearly 10 years of experience and she specializes in LinkedIn and Instagram. She works to help people and organizations understand how they can use social media, not let social media use them. She encourages them to step away from continuous mindless scrolling and figure out how to use it to enhance their work, lives, and personal brands.

Portia loves being Ghanaian, spicy food, dancing, live music, listening to podcasts, experiencing new countries, and reading a good book (preferably on a beautiful beach in Ghana).

 ❤️ where you are in life, how you feel, what's been happening, what you hope for the future (an exercise in self-intimacy)
💗 how you envision 2026 unfolding in past tense (a manifestation exercise)
🧡 your current vision for yourself in 3,5, or 10 years (see how much of your goals change in a year)
💛 a hype up encouragement letter tailored to you (a balm for seasonal sadness)

I opted for option 1 ❤️ and surprised myself with 2 pages front and back!! I really enjoyed writing this by hand with a snowscape on the tv and a candle lit. 

Make this exercise your own and let me know which option you choose!

This one is an up close and personal look at how perfectionism shows up for me and how internal family systems work can be extremely helpful for healing the stories that feed into the need to be and do things perfectly.

Stories that say you can't make a mistake or, if you're like me, "it'll be my fault." 

Atim cautions me against looking for a simple 5 step plan to heal perfectionism and encourages a practice to process deep seated emotions that we're scared to feel. We also talk about societal and cultural pressure to be perfect. It's a juicy one!!

Tune in to get tips on dealing with perfectionism and to hear a personal and healing conversation about my own neuroses that stem from the urge to control and manage things a particular way 🙃

I will say I am feeling way better after this "month of me" experience I gave myself in October. It was much needed. It didn't go exactly as planned (as it never does) but I feel like it did its job sufficiently 😌
